    My understanding is this: If you put the CaCl2 in your mash, about half of it will end up in
    your finished wort. If you put it in your boil, most all of it will end up in your finished
    wort.

    A wooden mash tun? Sure, wood was used historically. It insulates well. I am thinking a used 30
