  • When I first turned 21 I couldn't stand drinking beer. It was just something I didn't like. I would drink mixed drinks, you know, Mt Dew and Vodka, Rum-N-Coke, etc. Well that became expensive so i started making myself drink beer.

    I would get drunk off mixed drinks then drink a beer, then next time drink 2 beers and continued until I was drinking beer only. My beer of choice was lager. I am from North East PA so lager to me means Yuengling.

    I would dabble with other BMC type beers for the next few years until I reunited with an old high school buddy who drank what i considered "wild beers" and he slowly got me into new beers and styles. So I started to buy and try new beers over the next few years.

    When I bought my house I decided, hey, let's try to brew some beer. I picked up a Mr. Beer Machine and off I went. Being green to brewing I thought I was going to be the next head brewmaster LOL. I whipped up my first batch and uhhhhhh not so good. I got frustrated and threw the M

    What kind of wood are you using? Looks like pressure treated lumber in the picture?

I like beer, I like to make things. Why not brew my own beer. Sounds like a win-win!
