Sorry for bringing up old posts, but I thought that following bottle-conditioning, the yeast's
growth needs to be stunted by refridgerating the beer or else autolysis (yeast cannibalization)

dried malt extract will give it body. corn sugar will give it nothing but alcohol. plus, dried
malt extract is actually made from barley...a real beer ingredient. corn sugar is for soda.
