  • Posted in thread: How have your thoughts on craft beer evolved? on 10-26-2013 at 02:33 AM
I was thinking today about my progression in the craft/homebrewing world. Specifically, I was
thinking about really hoppy beers and the popularity of hop bombs etc. I really love a great
    IPA or IIPA. ...

  • Posted in thread: Best beer store between Nashville and Sewanee? on 09-26-2013 at 08:11 PM
Frugal Macdoogal is near downtown, 701 division street. They've got a pretty good selection of
craft beer. There's also a place at 1118 Halcyon Ave called the filling station. They fill
    growlers if th...

  • Posted in thread: Haier HSL04WMAWW kegerator build on 09-07-2013 at 03:41 AM
As you can see, I moved the thermostat up and over the freezer box to get it out of the way.
I'm still deciding whether or not to take it out completely and just plug the fridge into an
    STC-1000. From...

  • Posted in thread: Haier HSL04WMAWW kegerator build on 09-07-2013 at 03:27 AM
Good day everyone. I have a Haier mini fridge that I was fortunate enough to acquire free from
a friend. I just recently got into kegging and have somewhat audacious plans to build a bar
    around this e...

  • Posted in thread: Bleaching my plastic buckets. on 08-14-2013 at 03:19 AM
Hmmm, I've normally done one tablespoon bleach to each gallon of water, but that's been for
sanitization, not odor reduction. I've never really considered that faint beer odor as a bad
    thing, but then...

  • Posted in thread: I couldnt care less if my beer comes out clear on 08-14-2013 at 03:13 AM
I've found that my hazy beer gets clear as commercial if I let it chill in the fridge for a
good while. Which is difficult of course, since I'm prone to drink what I've worked so hard
    for.

  • Posted in thread: First sip of my first brew! on 08-14-2013 at 03:11 AM
I don't have much to offer besides; 1. Let it sit awhile, that's usually the consensus, and 2.
Congratulations! It will only get better from here.

  • Posted in thread: Liquid side tubing question on 08-07-2013 at 11:08 PM
Ah, just reading that a lot of HBT folks use a 1/4 barb with 3/16 tube. A bit snug but no
problem. Off to the Internet to make my purchases, tally ho!

Use MFL disconnects. Then get 3/16 tailpiece barbs that attach to MFL.Here's what I plan on
getting. Is what you're explaining compatible with this? Can you possibly send a link? I'm
    surprised I haven...

  • Posted in thread: Liquid side tubing question on 08-07-2013 at 07:49 PM
Just bought a couple corny kegs. I'm looking at getting flared disconnects, but they only come
with 1/4 nuts connected to 1/4 barbs. I have an existing tap from a kegerator, which is sized
    for a 3/16 ...
