if you dont want to make a starter you can use safale us05 dry it works good on high gravity
worts also make sure you cool the wort to about 65f before pitching.

i was going to brew a pilsner today but i brewed a DIPA last sunday and foud out two batches of
yeast that i pitched were bad so now i dont have any yeast and i cant buy any cause everything

I have had several batches look like mold in the secondary and i have never had any problems
with that beer, the yeast can somtimes look like mold. all you can do now is proceed with
bottling or keggi...
