Ok, so I was really in the mood to brew a batch today and this happens. I typically warm up my
malt extract in a pot of warm water, while it's in it's container, because it's easier to pour.

I leave it in. The last 2 to 5 minutes of your boil you're adding aroma hops. It won't hurt
anything to leave it in, but it may not give you the aroma you want. That's my two cents.
