    ABOUT ME

  • Started brewing in January of 2010 after getting started with a basic kit and the help of two knowledgeable friends.

I'm constantly learning and improving each batch I make. I have come to appreciate and view brewing as not only a hobby but as an art where there are no limits.

Currently using a Bayou Classic SQ-14 burner with a Bayou Classic 36qt (9 gallon) stainless pot. I do mostly all-grain with a 10 gallon cooler. Avid BN Army listener on my long drive to work but have yet to call in for drunk of the week. I've been thinking about getting into kegging but don't mind bottling too much at this point.

Yeah these are only 4". The hardest part wasn't so much connecting the beer line, but allowing
the nut that tightens to be put on the shank itself. I had to take a box cutter to the plastic
    interior m...

Okay so they rotated after I posted. Weird. Going to be tough when I add second and third taps!

Sorry the none of these pictures were rotated as they display on my phone but I installed my
first faucet today a bit higher than ideal. HBT mobile bug, idonno. Had to cut into the plastic

Having a few cold mornings here in Indiana. I've got 3 plants, one of which is already 3 foot
tall. Last night we got a dusting of snow and tonight we're expecting a freeze warning down to

The efficiency is astounding. It holds heat like a boss, and you can shut it down when you are
done and I'm just amazed how much lump charcoal I still have at the end of the day. Some day I
    wanna get ...

  • Posted in thread: Green Egging St. Louis Style Ribs w/ Extender on 04-18-2013 at 11:59 AM
I am using a medium big green egg and have two racks of St. Louis style ribs that I will have
to cut in half to get them on the egg. If I use the grill extender and place a rack or two of
    ribs on that...
