  • Don't really watch TV. Loved HBO's Rome though. Band of Brothers is another favorite. I do love British comedies: Spaced, IT Crowd, Black Books, Father Ted, Darkplace.
  • I devour brewing literature, but besides that love history and well crafted fiction. Patrick O'Brien, Bernard Cornwell, J.R.R. Tolkien, and H.P. Lovecraft are some of my favorites.

  • Brewed opaque orange medicinal goop in 2008. Stopped brewing, got interested again in 2012. rnrnBrewed a decent extract pale ale and dunkelweizen. Lost a pumpkin beer to infection. I've went all grain too early, before fermentation control and yeast health.rnrnI've fixed that now.rnrnI've got a 5 gallon all grain setup: 7.5 gal brewpot (saving for a 15 gallon one), 10 gallon MLT, a couple fermenters and lots of bottles.rnrnI use a party pig to "cask" UK style ales. I love emulating British styles since they're so hard to find fresh here. I do like American brews too, but I haven't made one in a while.

  • Posted in thread: How much does your "average" batch cost? on 09-05-2014 at 06:39 PM
LHBS is about $2/lb for 2 row and $2.50/lb for everything else and $2-3/oz for hops, $7 for
yeast. So about $20-30 per beer.
