  • I first dabbled in homebrewing in 2008. I made a medicinal tasting opaque orange. I then made an Irish stout which...died? I don't know, it's still somewhere in the basement. Now I've re-entered with renewed enthusiasm and sense about me. I have a 7.5 gal brewpot and an outside 100k BTU propane burner. I take sanitation seriously now, unlike when I was a kid. A buddy of mine is working on a fermentation chiller for me too so I can take the wet-towel covered fermenter and fan out of the closet! I hope to get a 10 gallon pot w/spigot and thermometer as well as a mash/lauter tun and another primary and secondary fermenter by Christmas :D

I've never heard either referred to as just "lager ". Sam> Yeungling > Budweiser, in my
opinion. I don't think Yeungling is a whole lot better than BMC...but I'll certainly drink
    it.Here in Philly, yo...

I just had to toss some Anchor Summer Beer. Tasted awful, a tad skunky and generally oxidized.
And it was a fresh bottle.

Victory swing saison ..... Not too good.I was really disappointed by it. Very weak flavor and
an off floral note that kinda shoots right up your nose and not in a good way. The Yards saison

Gotta throw a second onto this list. Pilsner Urquell... omg i hate itI wager if you had it
fresh you'd like it. It does not travel well in green bottles, and I'd give it 6 months at best

Yup that exact article. Then a few months later I walked by a display of it and said no way.
Then bought itWhat amazes me is that it's a simple 2-row/cascade SMaSH.

I guess I expected more. I did read I good article about the history of it. Which was the main
reason I bought it.The BYO article? If so, same here.
