Thanks everyone! On a side note, if I was stupid and only brewed and bottled a pumpkin spice
porter today, will it last until next fall with the standard Brewer's Best bottle caps?

I did my second Brewer's Best kit and bottled today. I understand that you generally lose some
beer when siphoning before and after fermentation. Both times though it has been about 6-8
bottles short ...

The vast majority will say it is fine. I even got some in my mouth and although it tasted
terrible, it didn't do anything. Just wash it off quickly.

If the pressure is still trying to escape through the narrow airlock tube, through the 1/2"
tube and into the bucket, is it really that much more efficient at releasing pressure?

Brewed a pumpkin and put it in the carboy with a 3 stage airlock. Put it in a closet and came
back a day later. It had exploded everywhere. Re-sanitized and re-capped. It exploded again.
