  • I am a home brewer who is starting up a small pub brewery for the community I live in. The craft brew market is evolving to meet the needs of today's beer drinkers. I will be part of this movement toward small, local, quality, and creative.

  • I have been brewing for several years. I got tired of the lack of selection at the local stores in my area. I brewed a wonderful beer my first try using a Double IPA kit. Second attempt was one of the best beers I had ever had at the time, an IPA recipe that I crafted based on personal taste preferences. Since then, I have turned to all grain brewing.

The cost to make this was rather negligible. I was lucky and I got my hands on a pallet of 6
new kegs for free. I also had a bunch of extra blicheman boilmaker parts laying around from a
    larger system...

Benbradford, I love what you have done! I plan to stain a similar color, and then seal it.I
used cedar lath strips, they are 1/4" x 1.5". How I fit the slats was simply cutting them to
    the height of t...

I recently built myself an electric control box powered by a BCS-460 to replace my gas fired
system. I got my hands on some brand new kegs and decided to use those as my kettles. Punched
    the holes for...

The problem seems to be worse when the boil is more vigorous. Really, this is not an issue of
any kind because the boil is intense, and controllable. The temp reading of it is not much of a

I agree with the previous post. The 110 wiring is not going to cut it as your wiring is likely
to be on the lines of 14gauge and not the 10 gauge you would require for running 5000 watts of
    a breaker....

I finally got around to changing over my gas system to electric the other day. After some
struggles with faulty SSR's in my panel, I finally have everything up and running. All seems to
    be working gre...

    I'll start with a dumb question, what's a Bearkaat? You've got this semi-suggestive feminine
image of a woman on a barrel and I'm wondering what that is supposed to be telling me, but I
    have no idea i...

I would like to start by thanking everyone in advance for their input. Currently, we are in the
works of creating a brand image and label for our new and upcoming brewery. We are really
    trying to go f...

I have had krausens look like that. I would say that it is more than likely just fine. The only
way I would be concerned is if the krausen had fallen completely and then that showed up.
    However, if th...
