If your thermometer is truly calibrated and you mashed at 153 the beer should not be done at
1.023, that's too high even though it is 72% attenuation, I would expect better.I have a

What yeast did you use? Starter? I wouldn't suggest adding sugar to restart fermentation. Have
you tried just giving it a swirl to rouse the yeast? And there's always amylase enzyme, but

Had to add about 14oz. of DME boiled in about a quart of H20. Feeling much better about the
