  • I am a RN working at a hospital in KY. Before I decided to start a career in nursing I was a electrician. I enjoyed electrical work but I was always working out of town and the work wasn't always steady so I started over doing something I will enjoy and have wanted to do for some time. I have to say it was a good move for me. I really enjoy helping people and trying to make them feel better. In my spare time I like to listen to music, play on the computer, hang out with the family, reading and stuff like that. I also brew my own beer and I can honestly say it tastes better than the more famous stuff you get off the shelf. I have three children but only one still at home.

  • I have always enjoyed drinking beer so brewing beer just seemed like the right thing to do. Currently brewing darker beers. I keg most of my beer in 5 liter mini kegs and 5 gal corny kegs.
  • I would like to settle on 3 or 4 beers I really like and keep them on tap and to share with friends and family.

Hi and welcome to HBT. I would start with reading some of the posts in the beginners area and
then buy a kit from a local homebrew store or one of the online shops.

I put the priming sugar in the keg before filling. After it is filled I shake to mix well and
over the next few days I try to give it another shake and then let them set.

Just did some checking and it looks like most recommend 1 level tablespoon so maybe start
there. I use 2 but your mileage may vary.

I primed mine with 1 to 2 tablespoons. 2 will usually get them about right and 1 day on the CO2
will have it right if not. I have also forced carbed in them as well by raising the pressure to
