I'm brewing Pliny on Sunday, regardless of whether I'm snowed in or not. On the bright side,
hopefully it means I'll chill to pitching temp in record time :mug:

I couldn't get through in time so I was stuck with Friday/Saturday. This will be my first NHC,
so I don't mind all that much -- just happy to be able to attend and see it all firsthand. Even
    better, m...

I'm in Manhasset. I've been brewing for about 4 years now, with 1 year of all grain under my
belt. I've been focused just on ales so far, but I'm hoping to brew a few lagers soon. Styles

Thanks, guys. I need to buy a ph meter, so for the time being, I halved the calcium chloride

I had an issue with metallic aftertastes the first time I used a set of brand new kegs. I
cleaned well beforehand, but each one of them still imparted a metallic flavor to the first
    batch. I didn't ha...

I've been brewing all grain for about a year now and have been having some issues with off
flavors (astringency and harshness), especially in some of my darker beers. I run all of my
    water through a c...

What size/dimensions would you guys recommend for a 10 gallon kettle? I'm brewing 5.5 gallon
batches, usually with a starting volume of around 6.75. I'd also like to make sure I have
    enough room in th...

Clinton Welding on jericho turnpike in Jericho (right next to home depot). I go there because
they offer refills instead of swaps for both co2 and beer gas. They also have Saturday hours (9
    to 12).
