Our first brew set up was a birthday gift for my boyfriend....I might have slightly taken over. We started basic and soon thereafter we added a "shot out" fridge for lagering, more carboys, more recipes, more everything!!!
Just celebrated our First Anniversary of brewing!! - Anniversary Wheat, Chocolate Stout.
- Hope's Drool (A Brown Ale, named after our dog)

I have heard that no, they aren't so good. The glass is weaker on the threads and can't hold

What about the thermometers "dies"?? Taylors are usually pretty good--as long as you don't drop
them. They're able to be calibrated. Maybe try that?? is my favorite kitchen "toys" website.
