  • This week im going to revisit my "Sandy's Dirty Minded Blonde ale, an American ale on the hoppie side with northern brewer cascade and kent goldings, using rahr 2row for the first time and basmati rice, slightly nutty and a buttery pepper tone to it brew it on the sweet side to balance the flavors but at 6% it will stomp you.

    Im doing 18 gal of kolsch now and thought some stray yeast had taken over till reading this
    thread, I definitely have the sulfer and foam, now I feel better about it.

    Yeast Wlp 802 Budejovice lager yeast start a liter for every five gallons and this yeast seems
    to be kind of a slow starter so 3-4 days before and I made my starter wort to 1.065 Sg at 70F
    and it work...

    I make peach scnapps each year and a few years ago i made a wash and brewed it with a receipt
    for a bass ale cloan used the same yeast as bass ale and grain bill as a clone then made a
    1.05+ wash boil...
