Why would the keggle be too large? No problem with having some extra room. I do 5 gal batches
all the time in my keggle

Kinda short unless you are serving at very low pressure.+1. Get 10 ft of beer line for each and
trim down from there if needed. That'll save you a lot of the foam hassle

I've been to the BJs in Daytona. They have decent beers. Nothing insanely good but ok for a

I agree. Notty is a beast. I took my barleywine to 16.4% fermenting it around 62

Notty got me 16.4% on my barleywine. Was shooting for 18 but I'll take it.

I once dropped the rusty bit of my screwdriver in my keggle while chilling. It was in there for
about 45 minutes until I transferred to the carboy. It all worked out ok. The yeast will kill

Yeah I usually get 90% mash conversion when I mill my own grains. It's possible. You just have
    to be awesome todo it

  • Posted in thread: What's mash-out in BIAB and what is it for? Do we need it at all? on 10-09-2013 at 06:10 PM
Impressive. I didnt know that was possible...I thought 85% was more or less the upper limit for
extraction. Not that I know of. I think that 85% you see is the assumed extraction from Palmer's
    tables t...
