Agree 100%. My Rubbermaid cooler usually doesn't even drop 1 degree over a 60 minute mash.
Unless you really, really want one, you don't need it. Spend the money on something else!

Put it in a bucket of Starsan for a few minutes. It'll make it all shiny and new looking!

I brewed this exact same recipe recently but I mashed at 152-153, and I mashed for 90 minutes
instead of 60. My SG was 1.070 I finished at 1.015 for about 78-79% attenuation. White labs
says to expect...

I love Torpedo. I love Celbration. And, I love Flipside! I think they're all great beers.
Flipside to me, is more of a west coast style American Amber ale. Hoppy, dry and malty.
