I'm in a similar spot as you having half started this project once for an espresso machine, and
again for rims a year or so again. Did you look into any of the open source projects that
already do thi...
Posted in thread: Anyone getting (got) a Synek? on 12-04-2015 at 07:02 PM
I filled bag with CO2 at Med, refilled it next day because it had absorbed some into beer. It
was a bit squishy again today, but I went ahead and attached the back to the machine...It
sounds like you...

Posted in thread: Low BTUs- pump pure O2 into the burner?? on 12-03-2015 at 11:02 PM
I think we've already beaten this subject dead - I'd only add that the o2 cost would quickly
add up to the price of a nicer propane burner. Consider just getting one with more btus or
shielding it bet...
Posted in thread: Can I get some feedback on a RIMS Build? on 12-03-2015 at 10:59 PM
If you aren't looking to spend a ton of coin then you could focus on simply hitting your
initial mash temp better. I used an anova sous vide machine (shaped like an immersion blender)
on my last brew ...
Posted in thread: Wifi Digital Hydrometer on 12-03-2015 at 10:46 PM
I have always wondered about just putting a hydrometer in the primary (obviously talking about
a carboy here). Then I wouldn't have to touch it to find out the gravity. Only problem I see it
the CO2 b...
Posted in thread: Aquaculture Project to Re-utilize Trub - Sustainable Brewing Techniques? on 12-03-2015 at 10:43 PM
I love the idea that you could scale it up into 4 big tanks, or 4 large ponds. Potentially you
could even set them up to run off into each other and then you could self-level just by
discharging more ...
