  • Many details about my personality and life are considered to be confidential and secret. I am known to most of the people in my life as Roman, but I have several aliases that I use for different things. If you frequently deal in the black market, you may know me a Kidney getter Ken, The Source, or Bill.

  • I wanted to brew beer ever since I found out you could brew beer at home. I wasn't even a beer drinker, I just thought it would be a cool thing to do. When I was about 17, I tried a home brew made by my girlfriends cousin. Even at that time I wasn't into beer, but I liked it. When I turned 21, I asked my parents for a home brew starter kit, and they got it for me. I have been brewing ever since.

I currently use a 5 gallon igloo cooler for mashing. I have a HUGE aluminum brew pot that I got for free. Up until July 2008 I have been bottling. Now I have a keg, and it's definitely a time saver.

As of June 2009, I am now capable of 10 gallon batches, and I have also converted a refrigerator for temp control in both winter and summer.
  • Belgain Golden Strong for 10.10.10

  • I have Big Beard Barleywine bottled and aging at the moment. Planning on tapping into during the next Holiday Season 2009!

    Nut Brown Braggot
    Paul's SMaSHing Blonde
    Oatmeal Stout
  • Boddington Pub Ale Clone (from HBT Recipe Database). I used Nottingham though, and it's isn't clear at all even after being cold crashed for 2 weeks. Tastes like yeasty, gross beer. Gonna try some Knox to see if that helps.

Your LHBS isn't taking advantage, your just paying the retail mark up. It's how they stay in
business. It's a fair price if you willing to pay it. Personally, I think the bulk buy is the
    way to go. Ju...
