Well, my FG came out to 1.020 but I'm going to keg it anyway. Should be ready in time for the
Superbowl which was my goal. I'll let you know how it came out.

Thanks. I was brewing it the day I asked the question, so I mashed at 154 and put the lactose
in at 30 minutes. I'll keg it next weekend, since that will be 3 weeks in the fermentor.

I just use a incandescent light bulb and it works great. Of course, mine is an upright freezer
so I have it clamped in one of the racks in the door.

When you use other sugars for carbonating you end up with yeast/trub on the bottom of the

Yeah, I've been swirling. I'm gonna stick them in my warm garage and see if the yeast can munch
on them more. My first and last time using them.

That's what I had planned on until I found these in the fridge and I thought they'd be a better
alternative. Boy, was I wrong!
