I don't think placing a burner under something like that will work well. I would think it would
be pretty hard on the gaskets even if it didn't scorch. Don't mean t be a buzz kill...just my 2

I agree that ease of cleaning is a must. I used a couple pine bookshelf brackets painted white
and held in place with white 100% silicone. I just taped them in place till the silicone cured.
