I say you may get a slightly higher ABV but I don't see that there would be any real harm. This
will be interesting to see how it turns out.

I always add my sample back in. Why waste good beer with every sample. As long as you sanitize
    properly you'll be fine.

Try adding 1/2 a lb or less DME/LME per gal of water boiled. When you boil all of your DME/LME
at the beginning it burns or darkens by the end of the boil. It's the same process bread goes
    through whe...

Does anyone use a wine degasser to aerate their wort. I was reading a link for Skeeter Pee and
he used it to aerate that. Wondering if people use it for beer.

There are a few good reasons for vodka/bourbon. They both sanitize pretty well and don't impart
flavors to the actual brew so it acts like an infusion when you add it to the brew. There will

Not really, when you think of it. Clean your gear with OxyClean and rinse well. If there are no
big scratches in any of the plastic then you are in pretty good shape. Sanitize everything

Regardless using Idophore takes too long. StarSan may not be cheap but the instant sanitizing
and no rinse makes it the best and easiest to use.

Idophor takes so long to sanitize. 20-30 min. Way too long IMO. Free or not, toss it and grab
some StarSan. And stay away from the dishwasher lol
