I had never done it before and more than likely it would have passed as a whim, but a friend from high school told me about this new hobby group that was forming around home brewing. I attended a few meetings before the group disbanded and I was hooked.

To help mitigate any concerns, a purchaser could insist on a bill of sale that includes a copy
of the seller's drivers license. That won't necessarily guarantee that you're avoiding a scam,
