Posted in thread: Built a Brutus 10 style rig, have some questions after a dismal first brew day. on 05-09-2013 at 02:53 PM
Welcome to Brutus brewing. I love my rig (HAL is it's name) and recently changed to RTD temp

Here are some preliminary questions that will hopefully get me point in the right direction:1.
Is it possible to run my fermentation chamber, serving fridge, kegerator, and brew day
operations (1 elem...Posted in thread: Brutus 10 BYO Plans Changes? on 01-28-2013 at 07:27 PM
I'm subscribed to this thread, since long ago I too was looking for updates. If I were to do it

since my ...Posted in thread: Tits-Up Imperial IPA (3-Time Medalist - 2 Golds, 1 Silver) on 01-08-2013 at 05:22 AM
Overshot a bit, but even the wort tastes great. Can't wait to sit down with a pint of it.Posted in thread: Can a 15 Gal batch be done in 20 Gal BK? on 01-07-2013 at 05:22 PM
Same question was asked about a year ago. I do it, but I use fermcap. I start with around 18.5
gallons and usually end up with 15.5 to 16 gallons in a 20 gallon Blichmann. It is close and I
have never...Posted in thread: Can a 15 Gal batch be done in 20 Gal BK? on 01-07-2013 at 03:27 PM

I want to move up to 15 gal batches, but the biggest BK that will fit on my Brutus 10 is a tall
19.8 gallon kettle. My friend said he didn't think there was enough head room for expansion,
evaporation...Posted in thread: How many gallons of BierMuncher's Centennial Blonde have been brewed? on 12-30-2012 at 03:40 PM
Last brew of the year yesterday included the blonde. So that's 3572 + 10 = 3582Posted in thread: Wyeast pre-swollen packs of 1450 and 1056 are they still OK? on 07-31-2012 at 03:32 AM
I have given up on ordering liquid yeast during summer. My last 2 orders never started
fermenting but then I didn't have supplies to make a starter either. Dry yeast is just easier
for me.We have been...
