    ABOUT ME

  • running,making beer,bacon
  • A co-worker got me in to home brewing at the start of 2010. I started with extract kits and I've grown into All grain brewing with having a two keg setup.rnrnFor me home brewing is all bout being able to create something of a higher quality and more unique than what I can find in a store. Nothing is off limits... wildest beer I've brewed was an Apple-Honey Rye Ale. I used rye malt as the bulk of the base and replaced half of my water profile with apple cider. It was the only beer I've had that tasted better at 60 degrees than 45 degrees. Currently I'm on a Belgium style kick and I'm enjoying the freedom of these styles.

So if I add the fruit at the secondary (after a full primary fermentation), and it kills the

Why not just pull it and do a 3-4 day d-rest at 60 degrees. That should be enough to make the
yeast active and pull your FG down. Just a thought.;)I already did a d-rest and moved to
