That's a lot of headspace...is there anyway you can rack - carefully-from beneath the foam into
a smaller carboy? That looks like you have a 5g batch in a 6.5gal carboy...if you're worried

I'd agree with Fuelish. It looks like wax, pollen, etc. Rinse the jar out with some warm water
when making you mead and shake the crap outta the jar to dissolve as much of the honey as

I have made many batches of beer and am making my first wine kit. It's a Merlot. The kit says
to keep it between 20-25C (68-77F). I noticed my room has been more like 18-19C. Is that gonna

Rack every 60 days or when you have 1/4" or more of lees. I'd add 1/4 tsp kmeta every other
