    ABOUT ME

  • We are a small group of homebrewers that enjoy a good brew day. Currently we are just sticking with small extract brews, but slowly we are gathering the equipment for all-grain. We enjoy experimenting with traditional brews that just aren't available locally. There's just something magical about pulling a cold draft off the kegerator of a beer that we hand crafted.
  • Started home brewing in college in an on campus apartment. Started a Heffe kit, and since then have done mostly extract batches. Just now getting started with all-grain brewing.

This happened to me on my first 2 all grain batches. I found that my problem was a combination
of underpitching and high fermentation temps.I used a wyeast slap pack in five gallons. It
    wasn't a very ...

Don't dump it yet! I had an Arrogant Bastard Clone where everything went very smooth but at the
end of a month it just smelled and tasted nasty. I could not come up with a reason why this
    would be. I ...

The vinyl tube may have a small effect but not it would be a hint and not so overpowering it is
undrinkable. I use it all the time and don't taste it but I would expect faint if it were to

mash temp and what was the overshoot?what did you use to stir the mash, and did it aerate
    during that ti...

It's been over a month now since I began my first all-grain batch. I have several extract
batches under my belt, so I felt comfortable adding a few steps to the brewing process.First a

Cool site. Like the BIAB walkthrough. I've just started doing all-grain (first batch today
actually). Think I'll try a BIAB tomorrow.
