  • My introduction to home-brewing began with my uncle who owned the Whip's brew shop in Red Wing, MN.
    Got my basic equipment from him and brewed up a couple of batches. Moved around quite a bit with different jobs and my little brother inherited my gear.
    My neighbor got into it last year and after helping him out on his first few batches, i caught the fever again and bought new equipment and begun brewing again. Now if I can get my wife to understand this hobby and let loose the purse strings for some more equipment.

    Kegged my 5 gal batch today. FG came out at 1.012, had a beautiful orange hue with a malty
    aroma. Hydrometer sample was malty with strong hint of Munich and Vienna. Can't wait for this
    one to get carb...

    Brew up this recipe on Monday. Had to sub crystal 20 for crystal 10 but the rest was spot on.
    Went with Wyeast 1968 for my yeast since I had some on hand. Can't wait for this to finish
