    Been a while. Doing an extract, Bock. Was to steep grains to 170 then remove. Damned pot got
    away from me and it got up to 180 before I pulled it. Will there be nasty off flavors that ruin

    Never thoughts of diluting it, can you do that? Will it mix? Can I throw another packet of the
    original yeast in?

    I use an old sleeping bag. But, before I put it around kettle I put 4 towels folded in half on
    top. As someone said, this helps a lot.

    I understand that the vanilla flavor fades over time. So, if you bottle condition for a couple
    months will there still be flavor present. I'm going to use drops in a small amount of beer.
