  • Newbie to homebrewing. I love beer and making things so I figured this hobby would work well for me.

  • Bought a kit beginning of 2011. So my first/current setup is a simple bucket and glass carboy deal. Hope to buy a cooler soon for a diy/cheap mash tun so I can go all grain. :)

    I think you can control mash temp with that setup. Recirc through the HLT and control the HLT
    temp.I could. But then I'd have to sit there and watch it for an hour. Was hoping to "set it
    and forget it...

    I dont know, I dont make cider like this but think everyone who makes cider should make it the

    I don't know what constitutes "real" cider other than fermented apple juice. I will be kegging
    this but adding a gallon of unfermented juice might be the ticket.
