- I am from Alberta Canada, I love to snowboard and have recently gotten into brewing beer. I have made 4 batches from extract kits but would like to get into other stuff too.

-I have a kit I bought from a local store, I keep the beer in the plastic primary for 5 days or so then rack into a carboy
- I have tried 3 syrup kits and they have been less than delicious but ok. I also brewed a Brew House kit that started with liquid instead of syrup and it is much better

I'm not sure if this helps, but I asked someone about adding fruit and they told me that you
should pasteurize fruit instead of boiling because boiling is somehow bad for the flavour. They

Wow! that was quick, thanks everyone! About the DME, my town just has a small brew shop with
syrup kits.. no hops, no grains. A roadtrip is obviously in order but is there any way to

I have been watching an endless number of podcasts and videos trying to learn. Most seem to add
cold water to the hot wort to bring the water level up to 5 gallons.. does this water need to
be boiled ...
