    ABOUT ME

  • I got into homebrewing right out of college, as a curiosity. After a few successful extract brews, I moved into a very small apartment and gave my equipment to a friend to store. That equipment got lost in a move, and I am just now (2010) thinking of getting back into homebrewing.rnrnWith a little advancement in my career since the last time I homebrewed, I'm thinking about a kegging system this time around ;)

Well, that's enough information to at least get an experimental batch going. I'll try it with
all raw ingredients first. I do like the tart flavors, so it should work out well. Thanks!

    it to get...

I've been making batches of Apfelwein for a couple years now (thanks to these forums!) and have

I'm going to revive this post to say that I just got done putting a batch of "Dude, where's my
pants?" into the fermenter. First time using honey. Man, did that slurry of honey and brown

A leak on the high-pressure side of the reg is almost impossible to find with soapy water (it
blows away the soapy water with no sign of bubbles). To find those, you'll need to submerge the
    tank up to ...

Once the QD is connected the leak won't matter. It will only matter if you want to pressurize
the keg and then disconnect the QD. If you are loosing CO2 when everything is hooked up you
    better keep lo...

Ah yes, ball lock. I haven't had to pay attention to the type in awhile. Thanks for all the
    suggestions.

Attached is a picture of my leaking gas connector on my keg. Took me awhile to figure out that
this is the culprit.I was on northernhomebrewer looking for a replacement, and it says that
