I have a motor spec'd at 1750 rpm with a ¾" drive arbor. How big of a sheave do I need to
attach to my grain mill shaft to drop the rpm's down to the 200 - 300 range

So can I fix it? My thought is to do a ½ gallon, ½ hour mini brew of an oz of Magnum, and steep
a pound or so of roasted barley once the temp drops below 155. Chill and put into the beer.

What rpm do you mill your grain at? I'm under the impression that 200-300 rpm it's ideal.

I brewed a 10 gal RIS (my 1st) on 11/30. OG was 1.095, expected finish was 1.021. It's at 1.031
and VERY sweet. Grain bill:40# 2-row5# roasted barley1# black patent1# crystal 601# chocolate
