    that sounds like a good method. Did you still connect the ground wire to the chrome drain pipe.

    What have you guys found as the best long term method to seal/pot the heat stick so it doesn't
    leak? I used JB weld on the outside of the screw on connection and it failed after one yr.

    I have a white film covering the top of my imperial stout in the secondary. What is this and

    I found the problem it was the GFI wiring. The electrician ran the neutral through the breaker
    when I am not using it. Disconnected this and everything is working good.
