Will adding 1/2 pound of Belgian Candy Sugar to a 5 gallon batch towards the end of primary

I forgot to purge my boil kettle valve and it spit a nasty plug into my carboy. I got the plug
out but.....Is there any chance this whole batch is not ruined?

I brewed this recipe and pitched a very health 2 liter starter. It had a robust fermentation
but shut down hard at 1.025. Should I pitch some simple sugar to fire up the yeast again and
try to drop it...
