  • Someone gave me a wine making kit they didn't want way back in the '70's. I made it, and because it was forced to live outside in Florida it turned out horrible. I have just always wanted to try my hand at making wine. Been adding to my collection of 'must haves' for years. This was the year,2007, that I dragged my youngest son with me to pick elderberries for wine. Wonderful outcome!! Very encouraging. Now I have made raspberry and will be making strawberry soon. I also tried beer kits which I have found are a real hoot! I love this hobby.

What are the consequences of continually adding apple juice to the old sediment (not clarifying
the old yeast)? Will it affect the flavor? Just wondering, because that is what I just did.
