    ABOUT ME

  • My mom got me a Mr. Beer for Christmas last year, I made one batch and knew I needed to do this...only better, so I did a partial mash, then went right into BIAB...certainly one of my favorite hobbies!

So I've had some efficiency problems for a couple of years now and I keep chalking it up to
water but have been too cheap to go ahead and get a water test done. Found out that our city
    will email me a...

You'll be grand. I get that once in a while depending on the brew...seems to happen more when i
do a step or decoction, so i'm pretty sure its just protein coagulation. You'll know when you

So as we move towards winter in the northland I usually either have to heat my beer room in my
basement for adequate fermentation temps or hold off on brewing. I was wondering about wyeast
    2112 though...

I just keep the keg about 3psi at 34*, then pour my pint about 3/4 of the way up or so, maybe
2/3. I dunno something like that. Then I turn the regulator up to 20psi and just barely squeeze
    the picnic...

So I jumped on the bandwagon with these plastic BMB's but have noticed that after I clean them
with pbw, there is always a residue left behind. I have never had a problem with this with my
    glass carbo...

So I have this old Philco G-925 that I've been using for a Kegerator but I just stash my co2
and the keg with a picnic tap on it in there. I'd like to drill some holes in it so I can put
    taps on the d...

Instead of using a bung I bought extra petcocks for my blow off tubes. Then I sealed them by
trimming the gasket that comes with them to fit in the bung hole. I noticed that the bmb still

So here it is. Not bad. Very drinkable. But not quite as bold as it's supposed to be.297404.

It did taste a little watered down. But that's flat. And you can't judge how it really turned
out until it's fully carbed up.
