Thanks dmc,I figured it was a long shot and had planned to open one up to see what was inside.
Probably not good for brewing but if not, I can always use it to pump out the bilge in my boat!

Stir plates are easy to make if you have decent soldering skills and can read a schematic.
Otherwise, $40 is cheap compared to what your labor is worth. I built mine but I like to do
that kind of stuf...
