  You're most likely fine with doing that. Go get a hydrometer, they're only a few bucks, but you
  can use that when you open it up to tell if it's done fermenting.but since i didnt take the

  if there is some small leak letting the COs out is that cause to worry? Should I just let it go
  for another 3-4 days before opening it up?

  I'll bet you have an air leak, hence no bubbles. Do you have a krausen?What is a Krausen?

  by the time bottling comes around I will have the kit which includes bottle filling wand,
