You don't have to boil to sterilize, something like 178-180 for 5-10 minutes should be fine.Posted in thread: Thoughts on my FWH experiment on 04-11-2013 at 11:06 AM
Well the results are in. I can't say I had any bjcp judges involved in tasting but presented

4th glass b...Posted in thread: No bubbling, I perhaps killed the yeast? on 01-13-2013 at 01:21 PM
relax, if I had a dollar for every fermentation that went off in 3 hours Id be broke. Give it a
day or two. Anyway bubbling doesn't mean much, I had a fermentation where the seal on my bucket

1.058ish for an OG giving you a 25% efficiency from your mash, yuck! At around 70% efficiency
you should h...Posted in thread: What style is this? on 01-10-2013 at 08:17 AM
Thanks bob, For the record all my grains are actually Weyermann (caramunich/caraaroma for
C60/C120) and Weyermann Pale Ale.With the 10% darker crystal malts and 25% toasty deeper malts
