    ABOUT ME

  • Todd Franklin
  • Current (2013) setup is a 3-keggle HERMS single-tier, 2-pump, gas-fired. My stand is a trailer-mounted pig cooker. I call it my "Brew-B-Q". I started brewing in college in the late 90's and switched to AG in 2011 with the HERMS setup. I'm adding automation starting with the HE bypass valve using a PID, RTD and proportional control solenoid valve.

  • Posted in thread: To drink while brewing or not to drink.. That is the question on 01-29-2014 at 08:19 PM
YES! If I'm trying to do a quick brew then I hold off as long as possible, usually till the
boil starts (I'm all-grain). It always takes longer to brew while drinking and brew duration is
    proportional...

I don't like the idea of you having to dilute the entire bacth then freeze distilling after all
the work you've already done so far. I would save that as the last resort. I was only
    suggesting dilutin...
