I already have the 70qt igloo cube cooler that I've been using for a single five gallon corny
keg. Will two of them fit in the cooler (without a lid, obviously). Also, is a paintball Co2
    tank enough f...

Two words: Speidel Fermenter...Look em up... I have one... I like it.+1. I have the 7 gallon
one and love it. I just got the Chapman SS fermenter through their kickstarter but haven't used
    it yet. Can...

  • Posted in thread: Best way to carb ? on 12-04-2015 at 12:37 AM
Same here. Force carb @ 30psi for 24 hrs, then back down to 12psi to pour. It's drinkable at 24
hrs but definitely not completely carbed until about a week. Whichever way you do it, it'll end
    up the s...

  • Posted in thread: How can I drain maximum of my wort out of my kettle? on 12-01-2015 at 11:21 PM
I use to use a diptube made of a hook shaped copper tube connected to a short piece of
silicone. The silicone connects to a barb/MPT on the inside. It worked well. You can also use a
    compression fitti...

I use to pump out the wort with just a bazooka screen on the inside and it drained the kettle
leaving about 1+ gallon of trub/hop matter behind. Now I whirlpool for about 1/2 hr creating a
    hop cone an...

That's the same one I used when I first started AG. I bought mine through Amazon though. It
works well and the main burner is super strong so you'll go through propane pretty quick. I
    used the top bur...

Didn't think of the silicone tubing solution. I would imagine that is simple as removing a hose
clamp each time. Any risk of the screen dislodging with stirring? That's what I use and it works

Try to buy items that you think you'll use down the line. When I first got into AG, I wasted so
much money buying kettles, etc. and then had to replace them with larger ones. Also, spend
    money to make...

  • Posted in thread: portable keg cooler / sanke kegging q's on 05-21-2015 at 06:01 PM
There are a bunch of examples of relative cheap portable igloo kegerators below. I built one
almost identical to the white one on page 2 except I made a nice stand alone faucet built into
    a wooden sta...
