I did 1 bean in an Egg Nog Stout in a 2.5 gal batch. I boiled it for about 5 minutes, cooled

I have been considering the same thing. I've got several stove top partial mashes under my

I think the wyeast smack pack I used had dead yeast. 1) The smack pack didn't well 2) I saw no
signs of activity or growth in the starter I made. 3) No airlock activity after I pitched it

IMO 2 weeks is not enough time in the bottle. The hop flavor may be masked by the "greenness"
of the beer. Try it after 4+ weeks.How are the other qualities? Color? Clarity? Carbonation?
