  Why didn't you use a false bottom?That would make the extraction much more uniform, consistent,

  It has served me great for many brews. The 12" false bottom covers the entire cooler floor
  which has never resulted in uneven flow or stuck sparge s.

  They are basically big cylindrical plastic vessels. Almost like 55G drums but smaller. I got
  them when I bought a 27G Morebeer sculpture and have been using carboys normally.
