  • I started by looking into moonshine stills on the internet. While looking I stumbled across home brew info and searched out a LHBS. As of April '08 I have been brewing for a year now and I really like it. As with most brewers, I started with a can of extract. My second beer was a kit with steeping grains. I started reading on the interweb and here on HBT and started fromulating my own recipes and experimenting with different ingrediants. Soon I was doing partial mashes and eventually started brewing all grain. I guess I have been brewing all grain for about 6 or 7 months. HBT has been amazing source of knowledge and I read on here almost everyday. I brew what I like, and I like what I brew. I brew mostly ales because they quick and easy and can ferment at room temperature. Thanx for all the help!

    The pressure drops a lot when it gets cold. Don't worry about it. I keep mine at 12 psi but
    there is a little trial and error and tweeking depending on your guage. Don't turn it down to
    that pressure....

    With mine, I turn it down to 5 and then turn it up to 12.Congrats on the new kegerator!
