    I like this idea but I don't know if it's that much of an advantage over my current setup. I
    use a hotpod setup and just remove the element after brew day and cover the hole with a TC cap.

    Yeah it depends on a few factors like travel distance between your RIMS output and your MT. I
    set my RIMS temp about 1-1.5 degrees above my desired mash temp and it maintains perfectly but
    YMMV.

    Yes I did taste some and all I got was lots of mint. Im going to check my refractometer
    tomorrow and see if maybe its calibration is off.Did you do the proper conversion for your
    refractometer reading...
