Kettle geometry will also play a factor in how many watts you need, wider kettles sucking up
more wattage. for 9 gallon boils, 3000w may be a little timid IME.I would use at least one, if
not two at 2...

How are your elements mounted?Right now, just the single 1500w in my RIMS tube. I may have come
up with a solution though. I may borrow my dryer outlet and go with a removable tri-clamp
