So for all you beginners out there...brew brew brew..read when you CANT brew. No matter how much you read and plan, the experience of screwing something up and the trying to adapt is priceless compared to all the reading about it.

I used the H15s from BASO. It is cheap insurance. Especially when brewing outside. I can't
count the number of times my pilots have been blown out and the safety valve stopped the flow

There is a DIY Plastic Conical somewhere on the forum that would be good to have in addition to
Yuri's stainless DIY Conical. I know I am also searching for it for reference and parts.

Thanks Bug. It was very helpful to bounce ideas off you throughout the process. Good brewing!

Ellsworth AFB, out near Box Elder. I actually just got here in November, but it seems like a pretty good place to live so far.

MN - thanks for the comment. I'm torn on the relocation. Not a fan of the cold (from WI) but am of employment! HQ is in St Paul and their closing the doors here in Tucson. I'm one of the lucky one's who got an offer to relocate. It's a good opportunity so we're looking at it from the positive side.

Northern Brewer is just a couple miles from downtown St Paul where I'll be working so that will be nice.
