Did some cider in college. Helped a freind brew then. Just picked the hobby back up in 2008. Love it, on my 6th batch as april 2008. Credit goes to my brother and some coworkers to getting me started.
Update: Still doing Extract brews after a year, but I did about 12-5 gallons batchs last year. Really love the hobby. The neighbors to do, they drink all my beer. Guess that is the problem with kegging, to easy to drink.
Been findings ways to improve equipment. Just moved up to a yeast starter with stir plate and an oxygenation system.
Spent the first 4 months of 2011 building my Kal Clone. All electric herms. - To many to mention

Anyone know any hvac guys in the area. The guy that was going to cut my vents blew me off. Want
to brew next weekend, trying to find someone for this week. I am in the collegeville area.Posted in thread: Philly area Homebrewers on 05-17-2013 at 04:59 PM
mildoggy, that is a sweet setup! I would love to not have to brew outside during the winter.
Does it stay pretty cool down there during the summer too?Brewing again today, 10 gal of a
hopslamish clone...Posted in thread: Quick disconnects on 05-17-2013 at 02:54 AM
Bobby m at brewers hardware has angled 1/2 street elbows with the thread milled off. Makes a
really nice full port nipple for lines. I grinded my off with a bench grinder and it sucked.
Buy his.Posted in thread: Quick disconnects on 05-17-2013 at 02:48 AM
No, too restrictive. There are 3/8" id believe. You really want a full port 1/2" if you ever
plan to use a pump.Posted in thread: ISO Temp Controller on 05-17-2013 at 02:40 AM
If you are making a kreezer, you don't need one, just adjust the coarse adjustment screw on the
thermo.Posted in thread: Quick disconnects on 05-17-2013 at 02:38 AM
You mean the Gilmour aluminium hose connections, I would not. Then camlocks are so cheap, just
use them.Posted in thread: Prague and Munich - Advice/Recommendations on 05-17-2013 at 02:35 AM
Take the train from Munich to Freising and go to weihenstepher. Their schzitel is awesome.
There is a local brewery, resturant in town that is great too. Think the name had rabbit or fox
in it.Posted in thread: Running a keg line through exterior wall to outside on 05-17-2013 at 02:29 AM
Look for a house vacum cover. They have around a 1.25 hole with a covet. They fit a stand
single gang box. On the exterior, I would install a mounting block if it is siding and use a
water proof reddo...Posted in thread: Philly area Homebrewers on 05-16-2013 at 02:11 AM
Finally getting around setting the brewery back up. Almost done. Just need the vents cut in the
siding.Posted in thread: Reverse Polarity Brewery - Kal Clone on 05-08-2013 at 07:26 PM
