I made a starter from some yeast slurry on Wednesday. The Light DME that I used was rather old
but I still assumed that it would be ok for a starter. Well I added 1500 ml of water and 150g

I purchased the Flying Dog Raging Bitch kit from them last month. It came with their Belgian
yeast which seems to be called El Diablo (at least the best i can figure out).My OG was 1.082.

Go slow and don't use much pressure. It took me A LOT of passes to finally start cutting

Do 5 gallons. Learn your process first and it will be MUCH easier only dealing with 10 lbs of

Just did a high gravity beer with this method. 18 lbs of grains and hit 75% efficiency (1.080
OG at 6 gallons). It was still a bit of a rough day lifting and squeezing that bag even with a
deck overhe...
